No Returns

Williamisms again.

I got a “Golden Tee Golf video game” for Christmas and William has enjoyed playing it on occasion. He now knows the proper golf vocabulary. He’ll say ‘It’s in the rough.’ when the ball falls in the rough and he gets excited about birdie!

I was asking him about his Sunday school class last night and he said he had watched a movie. I asked him what it was about and he declared, ‘Jace, it was about killing! Joseph was killed by his brothers!’ I tried to explain that this was not the case and instead the brothers sold Joseph. He continued to argue, ‘No Jace! My Bible says in chapter 3 verse 11 that Joseph was killed by his brothers.’ I contended that that was wrong and he seemed to agree. ‘Well, where did I get that Bible? I am taking it back. Taking it back to Value Village to get a toy instead!’

Same conversation as above: William had been given a “2012” paper by his teacher which had a lot of unique, genuine wishes and favorites of William on it. According to the paper William wants to be a body builder and a fire-fighter when he grows up. All in our family believes that there was a misunderstanding between body builder and “Bob the Builder”. He said, ‘Hey, Jace, I don’t want to be a body builder. I am taking that paper back!’
