Okay, so, these next Williamisms are centered around two events, a game of Axis and Allies (World War II-based world strategy board game like Risk, but waaayy more complex) and a certain pro-life fundraiser.
First of all, William has certainly taken to Axis and Allies. Of course, all he’s really managed to do is capture places like Zimbabwe and Taiwan (figuratively speaking, no such places in the real game) and lose big cities like Paris and Tokyo. That said, my sister Priscilla and I whooped him. Bad. However in this game you can purchase fighting units to place on the board at the end of your turn. I asked him, ‘So, where do you want to put these on?’
He said, ‘On the board.’
Duh.
While we were preparing for a certain pro-life fundraiser, William decided to make his little contribution. A dollar. He was very enthusiastic about it, running through the house waving it around until one unnamed sister (Ahem, unnamed sister!) decided to cut the celebration short by taking the dollar (what terror!) and put it together with the rest of the money for donations! (How atrocious!) William suddenly found out that, “No, we’re not going to Target to get things from the dollar section.” Oh, the pain of disappointment.
Okay, so, William got kinda’ upset about the subtraction of his dollar so the sisters, (being the creative and innovative ones they are) decided to cheer him up with different prospects. ‘You could work with us and our dog business and we’ll pay you!’ (For those of you with dogs check out the page about my sister dog-sitting business on www.makingfamiliesgreat.com)
He finally just stood up and said, ‘Enough talk about jobs!’
