Homes ablaze illuminate the night,
The cries of shell-shocked humanity,
Pierce the silent countryside,
Driven insane by the burning calamity,
We ran too fast and thought too slow,
We will never limit what we know,
Mankind’s grotesque intelligence outpaces,
The capacity to end the quarrels,
Men become monsters at university,
Trained in mind but not morals,
We invented too grand and used too cheaply,
Unchecked innovation leads to weeping,
